Meesh of all trades, master of none. That's me. 28 year old Chicagoan, cat lover, accidental runner, half-ass artist and comestibles connoisseur hobbling my way through 'adulthood'.
Well, I think you guys know my Three, Big Exciting Events this weekend.
1: I got a pup.
2: I chopped off all my hair.
3: I met justcallmeemilyv.
Contrary to what you might think because of all of said Big Changes this weekend, I am not having a quarter life crisis. These were all planned changes, some of which just happened to come up sooner than originally expected (read: the pup.)
That being said, I am tired. I feel like I have a baby. He’s been such a good boy all weekend, though. And last night was the first night he whined, when we started crate training. And, really, “whined” is an understatement. He, like, puppy screamed. It wasn’t until Doug turned around on the bed and he could see Doug that he stopped doing that.
You know, all of it’s worth it when I see his face and he comes to play with me. He loves us so much already, it’s ridiculous. He constantly needs to be touching one of us (see above, me getting ready this morning.) And we love him so much too. I understand now how dogs and their owners get so bonded. Yes, cats develop a bond with their owners too. But my cats have always had this level of curiosity and independence basically from birth, so they didn’t seem to *need* me as much as the pup. Dogs are like OHMYGOD I LOVE YOU AND MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE HINGES ON YOUR APPROVAL. In that way, you can see how I’ve become so GD attached to him already.
How’d everyone else’s weekend go?
